State of the Hip Hop Address

Since none of ya'll ever talk about anything relevant, I will initiate something. How do you feel about the hip hop culture, upon the release of GTA: San Andreas, I feel that the image we present has been miscontrued into stereotypical presumptions by the upper and high middle class. It has come to the point where it is entertaining to see the words "fuck" and "nigga" in a video game situation. I'm not here to discuss the usage of such words, I am asking do you think that society is mislead in their assumptions, or are we better than what they think.

if ur white, u wont understand this thread because is not "just a word" so "get over it"

like yall say, its a degrading thing, we say ho to those that it applies

and we say nigga to those that it applies

yes we better than what they think, shit was funny the way they talkes in that game., my mom tried to get me to play the game with the sound off and shit, but upper class looks down on us just cuz we wear name brnds a certain way and we actaallly match our clothes, so fuck them,
LOWER CLASS FOREVER HOES!!!! we the ones that can make it to the top and flop and still be succsefull

in all honesty were better then what they think, higher class thinks because we wear wave caps and our hats are slanted or tipped half way off our head that were drug dealers and shit like that, i'm black and white, the word "nigga" doesn't offend me but if u end it with an "er" then it does offend me, higher class also looks down upon us cause of the music we listen to and if we rap, so if we listen to gangsta rap most high class people's perceptions of us will be that we carry guns and shit like that but that's not how it is, i mean for example, if a high class person heard a Lloyd Banks, Fabolous or Jadakiss song they would think that the material within that sing is inappropriate but hell i could say that Run DMC/Aerosmith - Walk This Way was a song that leaned toward endorsing sex or some shit, so i think the high class' perception and assumptions of us are far off, most of the high class people were handed life on a silver plater while lower class members do what they have to do to make it to the middle class and then high class

I hate n word discussions, no offence, but some of y'all do blow that shit way out of proportion.

If its such a bad word, then why woukld millions of play people say it each other?

FUCK, I'm not gettin involved with this, I don't want selah david round 2 or some shit.

Van Ished 12-08-04 02:10 PM

It isn't even an "n" word discussion, that is a totally different issue, ya'll need to read more.

ye we are better then that, its these stupid mothafuckas in the projects like mine and otheres that make the culture of Hip-Hop give the middle class and high class those assumptions. and as far as the words "fuck" and "nigga",well i grew up around people like that,so its impossible for me to stop using words like that, its in my nature and i believe that its slang."nigga" converted from rasist remark to slang in my opinion.i even call white kids nigga.....na mean.....

and some of those people got it handed to them by lower class people. But yea, shit's been fucked up. I mean if a black dude walks into a mall's store, the cashier or whatever will watch them closely. Like walk and hang around near him. but fuck it, shit will always be like this, people jus judge life by it's cover, which is wrong to do. weerd...
