You can highlight the part of the beat that you want to be silent, go to the single track mode, click on Effects, then scroll down to Silence

You could try using a bass boost. Put your vocals in the single track mode, then go to effects, scroll down to Filters, then scroll down to Quick Filters. Choose the preset Bass Boost
