Distant bells far away, carry their rings over the planes
resonant the sounds abound and drowns out the pain
Echos of the past, lasting impressions on my mind
capture the wrath of the black shadows I’ve confined
Hidden in the depths, chasms close the seams to hide
screams of the inner demons seeking release from deep inside
Locked up deep under the earth, ground we tread on every day
they watch constantly haunting me and plotting their dismay
A sudden uprising, earthquakes give them their chance
advancing from my void soul the toil that soils my hands
An uprising of spirits, silent screams, we see it deaf hear it
for the cries lie in the tries of the dying denied the serum
Devils when we repent, suffocate what’s left of regret
collecting stray rays of faith replacin em' with shame instead
burden upon our souls, dragging us down to hell
now burning upon the coals toll of the role we sold ourselves
