It's been 7 years since I started to think
You say Jesus walks, but I've yet to see,
People say Jesus talks to them, but he's never talked to me.

People believe in creation because that's what they have learned,
But when I heard of evolution, and worldwide suffering, that's when I turned.
My Dad's dad died of cancer, my Mom's mom died of Alzheimer's,
My Mom's dad died of Diabeties, and my Dad's mom died of heart problems.

I resent believing in something because it is written in a book,
But people convincing their children that it's true, is all that it took,
To turn thinkers away from logic, to turn teens into extremists,
And it was only a matter of time, before differing religions ditched peace and used their fists.

Do you not understand, that before there was Christ,
There were Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians, who believed they were right,
But now we write them off as igonrant and foolish,
But if Bush was born next door, he might have been raised Jewish.

And that's my main point,
It's all in how you're raised,
Parents convincing their children that religion is true, and by the time they Are 13, they are fully Christian crazed.
