FFT Filers.. To use or not to use..
 

I'm getting mixed messages about whether their good or not..

I'm recording on a really shitty mic, so I been using a lot of filters to try and improve my quality, which seems to be working.. But I was told that the FFT filters on cool edit make your vocals sound distant..

Diabolic told me to use FFT > Gental And Wide..

Is that a good idea or not?

yea..i use it.. fft filter is only to be used once... like after you did all the other shit.. mastering gentle and wide is what i use after i do all my shit.. after i do that , io compress... but yea fft filter is great if used correctly..after u did all the other shit, mastering Gentle and wide works.. but fuck around with em... there gentle and wide.. gentle and narrow.. find one that make ur shit sound good.. iight -1
