Yeah but I still can't mess with Cool Edit and shit because the computer doesn't have a soundcard and even IF I fixed that, I wouldn't have enough memory. Trust me, I need a new computer badly.

Well how I used to do audio (like 2 years ago) was I had a boombox playing the instrumental...and the mic was just in between me and the boombox :thumbup:

You don't need a whole system go to best buy and ask how much a basic cpu would cost, I'm sure your monitor is satisfactory enough.
