What rapper/group is your biggest influence in making rap music?

And I dont want lists.. I want you to say who influences your style the most in rap and why.. And be real with this too, nobodies trying to impress anyone here.. BTW.. If youve only ever posted text on a website before, then dont come in here and act like you actually have a rapping style PLEASE..

But anyway--
For me I'd have to say Tupac and Big L..

Tupac for more reasons than I can count, I've learnt so much about being a rap artist and life in general from his music and dvd's.. The guy was a fucking genious.. And I've never heard a track of his I didnt like or wouldnt put on repeat..
----------------------
Big L because a lot of my writing style revolves around multi syllable rhyming.. I learnt how to do it real well by listening to his stuff and now look at my shit.. Heres a bar from one of my new tracks I'm working on..

My advice yo; is forcefully... Take it from these bitches..
Cause.. They always suspicious, so.. Vacant when were vicious..
&.. Based in their opinions.. "Hip hop is a mockery..
If shits dropping ontop of me; six coppas will follow me.."

Ofcoarse I got more influences, but those two would have to be my biggest..
---

So Yeah.. Whats your major influences?

i would have 2 say 2pac, Big L, Geto Boys, & Shyheim

1)) 2pac cuz of many reasons 1 main reason that stands out 2 me is in my music i make songs 4 the ladies & it isn't always as sex objects

2)) Big L cuz he got me 2 da point where i can flip da script in my rhymes

3)) Geto Boys cuz dey showed me how 2 keep it g'd up at all times

4)) Shyheim taught me not 2 b neva b ashamed of b'in where u from

basically i learned from all keep it real at all times wit myself & othaz; & live what i say in my lyrics

Its weird comming to this forum with so many Americans, cause that shits so different to the way I think of hip hop.. Mainly because if you come to Australia with that g'd up gangsta act youll get the shit kicked out of you.. They keep it pretty B-Boyish here..

Rakim-His flow was just so consistant and lyrics were always top notch, made me wanna step my game up

Chino XL-The first time I heard 'Here To Save You All' back in 97 it blew my mind with his lyrics, flow and made me want to rap and everytime i hear a new chino track it really makes me want to step my game up big time

Demigodz. Saw them live back in 96. Been working on Hip Hop ever since.

Oh and I'm from Brooklyn. Only people who are "G'd" up are idiots from Cali. Don't even listen to the 'gankstas' on the net. They are posing.

Oh and I for one never liked Tupac. Ever. A few of his tracks are nice. I have friends who were influenced by him. But ehh. Old school I'd have to say Wu Tang hits home. Being from the concrete jungle they just appeal more. But Demigodz made me wanna write/spit.

Currently.. Brother Ali is the nastiest MC in the game today.

Dr.Dre-cuz he started everything i luv today, he made the beats that make me wanna jus start flowin

Eazy-E- cuz he was da original gangsta, nigga wasnt even poor but he was gangsta as fuck

Game-cuz he is da modern day Eazy-E so me and him relate more on current events than eazy or dre

Lol.. So you know kids who grew up in a family full of high up members from the black panthers movement and came out of poverty to make movies and shake up the entire rap game and media with a message that people were really relating too.. Not to mention kids who started their own movement which was a code of rules for criminals to try and stop the violence towards members of the public and ATTEMPT to make the streets a better place..

Not to mention making A FUCKING SHITLOAD of money and countless amounts of classic rap tracks that helped shape the rap game into what it is today in the process..

How can anyone live up to what pac accomplished while he was famous.. I aint sayin you have to love his music, I'm just saying he deserves the respect he gets in the rap industry 100%..
