A Cursed Review

Cursed

Aight the beginning is one of those that most people don't consider that scary. If you have seen the commercials then you have seen the car crash, but that comes about 15-20 minutes into the movie, and there is more to it then they show.

Featuring:
Jesse Eisenberg
Jimmy Myers
Judy Greer
Sheila E. - Herself
Millo Ventimiglia - Bo
Skeet Ulrich -
Michelle Krusiec - Debbie
Omar Epps -
Robert Forster -
Mandy Moore - Herself
Kristina Anapau - Brooke
Wes Craven - Director
Kevin Williamson - Producer

With that lineup I expected a lot more from this movie.

Now I am not sure if Cursed is meant to be a horror, horror/comedy, or what, but it is honestly not that scary. They rely on the "surprise moments" very heavily. I never got scared, but then I am a guy who doesn't scare easily. I heard a lot of girls screaming, so maybe it is. There is some gore in it, but the worst part is a decapitated head, and brains on the floor. BE WARNED: There is male nudity (go crazy Q), and female nudity (for the rest of us guys.) All ass shots though, so nothing good (female wise, I didn't watch the guy)

The whole plotline is rather old and in my opinion needs to die. I'm not going to tell you the plot, but you have seen it a ton of times if you've watched 10 movies in the past 150 years. Ya, the plot is that old.

Overall cursed tried to take old concepts and make them good again, and honestly they failed. Plot is old, man I could make a list. Twists are old and easily seen, so ya take ya girl or something, or else all you will do is jump because you will be half asleep and then a loud noise will wake you. Also, I one person said it best, "By the end you aren't scared of a werewolf, you want to become one."

Scare Factor: 0 (none for me)
Originality: -1 (none at all)
Gore: +1 (just because brains are cool)
Acting: +1 (not the best, but it was ok in my book)
Music: +1 (it was aight, but not best suited)

Final Rating: 2/5
