Hip hop isn't that big over here but I'm not afraid of showing I like it. I mean I don't dress all gangsta or whatever but I rap at school during the breaks and such, performed few times at school so people know I'm into that.

At first, they kinda laughed at it because the majority of people are more into rock and such but lately, they come to me to ask about rap albums, about songs and concerts so it's getting better...

lol.... i just starting audio... but in my skwl i would probably get critized for rapping... becuz i dnt seem the kinda person that could rap... i couple of people know that a rap and they like it... they ask me to do it in skwl for an event or somthing but i have really got the confidence so yeh i am kinda scared at showing it off in skwl....

^Felt the exact same way in the beginning, I refused to do a performance at school last year because I just didn't feel like dealing with all their bullshit and comments. But this year, I felt much more confident and people kept asking me to do it so I just signed up for it. Had major stage fright at first cause all these people from school, teachers and everything were sitting there so I had to do it good.

Now they respect what I do and who I am but trust me, it's not easy being a white female :) So yeah, was definately scared but overcame that...

Well a lot of people are ignorant, and when I go out they think I'm trying to be black. Really, I don't care what I wear. I bet somedays I look like a skate punk, and some days I look "hip hop". But nah, I'm not afraid, and neither is my friend, lol. Goes out with a blue headband and ish, it's funny as hell to listen to kids being scared of him.

^^I thought the exact same thing and I haven't really performed outside my school so far because well, at school you have people close to you and they'll stand up for you...

It's just a chance you'll have to take I guess but it's best to wait a little until you are confident enough. I wasn't exactly convinced I'd do well but I just went for it 'cause someone told me you should seize every opportunity so that's exactly what I did.

Just build it up...perform for small group of friends, then for more people...and so on...

In Australia the rapping scene is still growing.. Theres a lot of surfing and teenie bopper culture around which is fucking wack.. But thats life at the moment, not everyone can see past the bling bling side of rap because of cock suckers like Chingy and Ja Rule that dont seem to realise their whole persona is played..............But only by stupid school girls..
