Texas Kid Gets In Trouble For Diss.

So yeah my brother just called me up to tell me that some kid in Texas is being brought up on felony charges for writing a diss track against a fellow student/former friend. In the lyrics he included death threats, then started calling the kid's house and visiting repeatedly. An excerpt of the lyrics was something like...

Here's an article I found about it, if you wanna read more.

But what do you think of this? Personally I liked it when battles stayed on wax and nobody got arrested for making music.

The cops don't look at it that way, they look at it as communicating a threat, all they know is, he said out of his own mouth he was going to kill him...the family wanted to press charges and they will win simple as that, I think its messed up that you can't just make a diss track and battle and keep it on wax, but the truth is you can't anymore...Also, freedom of speech doesn't cover threats.
