What do y'all think is the type of tracks...

... you should do like when you're tryin' to get noticed?

like if you young, nobody heard you, like what do you guys think is the types of tracks an MC should do? like would it be different depending on your race?
like should it be punchline tracks, club, real shit, street, etc.

Jus talkin' wit people about this on AIM, so jus wanted to see people on RV's opinions on this topic. keep it serious, don't be stupid and make stupid comments. pc

Make a track the ladies can dance to but has lyrics niggas can relate to unnastan?

J. Luth 04-16-05 12:34 PM

yea, tru. But yea, you think how you look and what race you are has any effect on what you should rap about?

yea, I got no hate to white people, but you should also not talk about hood shit either. EVEN If you did grow up in the hood. I'm not sayin' they shouldn't talk about that real shit ever, jus not while you're tryin' to get noticed and grab listeners attentions. Like talk about other shit, like do girl tracks, club tracks and maybe even like some drug shit, or comical shit.

^yea, tru. But that is a real dope thing to do once you got people's attnetion. But iunno, if someone wants to listen to someone they never heard of talkin' about political shit and stuff. Like you think that would be good to do like if you gave some label a demo? Fill it up wit all real shit, about hip-hop now and politics and so forth? iunno, but it could work i guess

^yea, am feelin' you. good way to get that buzz too, is underground battling and shit. Like places in NY, you can really get some street cred and stuff. but yea, I feel you. That's what I'm tryin' to do first, get attention down here, then go out. Cuz I mean, if you don't got yo own state behind yo back, that could be your downfall. PERFECT example of that is 2000 election. If gore had his state, Tennesse I beliebe, then he would have been president. Gotta get known locally before you go outward.

yea, I feel you. But the reason some people go wit demos, is cuz they prolly feel like "I wanna do this now, I don't got much time, I need to do this quick". Because do get all that street cred, it'll take som ewhile. So some 26 yr old who wants to make it in the game, demo would be good idea. But if you young, like 16 or 17. You got the time to try and get that street cred. but good point
