Styles of text Battling...
 

yeh lately ive been seeing posts about how rv style is old.
And ive noticed the vets using a type of rb style..

this is the type of style i use...and id say a lot of "decent" textcees use..

Now i see the style i use used by a lot of rv vets such as solo,marvj..etc.
wheras peeps like L.I,Pop lotty etc..go for the rb kinda style

I jus wondered wot peeps thought, the rb style seems kinda more relaxed and funnier, where in comparison the typical "rv" style seems more forced, with more emphasis on tryna cram metas,multis,etc into a line..

Thoughts?

The first style is nice....I kinda use the first style... but i come off more cocky than that

yea alotta cats on RV force sooo much stuff like wordplay metas and punches, but the thing is that when we see these forced lines.....RV accepts them as good and RB accepts them as trash.....you know what im sayin?

Word to New Method. The structure a lot of people on RV use would be fine if everything wasnt forced to shit. Not to say everybody forces, but most do.

Whatever though. If people would use the first structure right it would be fine, but 90% of the time here it comes out like ass.

forced shit is when you see people put in speechmarks around metas n shit to force them and both verses you've posted have displayed that gay ass style!!!!

only reason why you see it a lot on RV is cuz there is a great deal of herbz on here who are too retarded to see a real punch or metaphor unless it is forced upon them!!!

it's not even what's being said, it's how it's being said. If you read L.I.'s verse vs. the top verse, the top verse's rhyme scheme is 1-syl (which I been saying since I first got here) which is straight up 80's. L.I is 2-syl which is a step foward for sure. Not to mention, the transitions in the first verse are nonexistant, which L.I's isn't too far beyond either. Lke the rhyme scheme is redundand and dosen't make and smooth changes, they're all abrupt. Like you jsut deliver your two bars that rhyme and go and start completely different on the next set. Like the verses are just strips of thoughts put together instead of one fluid piece. that's my 3¢ on it anyway on what I observed. And even L.I.'s verse wasn't like cutting edge woah-ness. Just more recent than the one above it.

if you write to a beat you can't go wrong.... but in my opinion multis show experience

that first style is gay its a newbie styled used to have mega streched bars fit on one line daz does that and he loses battles cuz his shit be madd streched just cuz its one line dont mean it aint streched as fuck that first styles gay the second style is what i use it has flow to it and better structure to it it isnt streched as fuck like the first shit

2sylable rhymes,transitions in flow,
stretched lines..that helps me at least.

Word at posting my verse. If RV learned my style this site will be ill. I'm not the best at doing that style, not even close. But people need to evolve their styles and get with modern day texting.
