Battles up Monday - Check In by Wednesday - Drop by Friday - Votes by Sunday No line limit and the battler with most votes by Sunday night is the winner. If this is a topical battle, write a topical and not a poetic drop and the same is vice a versa. All Battlers must vote on 4 other battles and leave their voting links in their battle thread. Battles voted on may be from either poetry or topical battles. Extensions must be asked for by Thursday night by pming any of the mods (Acuity, Drama Queen & Elementality). No extensions will be given 4 if asked 4 on Friday night. Extensions are only given till Sunday night at the most. Had to drop kinda early...won't see a computer for a few days
Crime Scene . . Monday 72 on a warm June summer's night A fight insued between a neighbor's man and his wife . Wrong place wrong time found at the scene of a crime Puzzled look on his face standin next to a nine Cups cuffin, perp cussin, body laid out wit blood gushin Back up sped onto tha scene, it was evident they were rushin We had a rape/homicide and tha suspect was goin down Cuz there was plenty of evidence on tha crime scene to be found Semi-automatic nine milli was tha killer's weapon of choice Bruises found on tha victim's throat...clearly he ruined her voice . . Down at tha precient for questioning . . In detainment he said..."I heard muffled cries from a far" "Thought I was trippin cuz I jus had a few drinks at tha bar" "But I heard tha cries again so I wandered next door" "Saw a man runnin away and a dead body on tha floor" "Next thing I know u guys are here and I'm bein restrained in cuffs" Millions of questions cloud my mind but #1 is How Tha Fuck Did this happen...will they make me go to trial next? Sad thing...innocent man arrested and sentenced to death 25 years on death row...gave him no less time cuz he behaved Electrocuted, a month later paper read..."Innocent man sent to tha grave" Enhanced forensic science found a flaw in tha case Details escaped...didn't catch multiple blood splats on tha victim's face They found tha real killer cuz scientists picked up tha slack Yet a man was dead remained tha fact and he wasn't comin back An eye for an eye tha government thought that was justice Human error isn't rare and tha fact remains just this God created human beings...We got no right to kill a guy So we need to do awy with sayings like "An Eye for an Eye" |
