This goes out to the kids trying to get away with lies
saying they've dedicated their lives to purity inside
But at the same time not going to church or praying for help
When it's needed they just let their Bible gather dust on a shelf.
Use his name for a reason God said was forbidden in law
They discriminate and intimidate then at church they make a change
Like dogs that bark outside but are quiet inside and are tamed.
I’ll admit, at times my thought have not been right or kind,
But I ask the Lord for forgiveness and he helps me write what’s on my mind.
Like lyrical flames burning holes into lives, hot with embers,
Trying to encourage everyone to think back and remember,
God doesn’t love you? Then why did he send his son on that endeavor?

Having to forfeit everything for the Only Begotten Son
It doesn’t get any easier once converted as one would think
Always havin to be humble, always turning the other cheek
But compared to the others, it’s the best life that I’ve known
Cause in the end I’ll be kneelin in front of God’s throne

Got trials and temptations comin at me from every direction
Satan sneakin up on me, attackin me without any detection
No matter what I do, everythin always seems to fall apart
No matter how hard I try, the headaches always seem to start
Devils and demons got me worryin, strugglin, and strainin
Souls for God they always tryin to stop me from optainin
But I gotta stay strong, I gotta stand strong through the fight
Always prayin to God to help do His will and what is right
Everyday putting on the full armor of the Most High God
So He will keep protectin with the power of His rod (staff)
No matter how many enemies I got comin at me from one direction
He’ll scatter them out, makin them leave in seven different sections

definately an original piece. well done to both.

i thought it lacked vocab a little, it seemed dry. nothing really that stood out too much, although overall, it was an enjoyable piece...but definately could have been alot more. it seemed as if, Rev, you wrote your piece too quickly; it did not seem like you writting. some sentances were worded funny, and just did not seem like this was the calibur of writing. no offense, the thought was there, but i feel if you took a little more time, with wording and such, this could have really stood out. none the less, it was very original and nice to read

christianitie: never read anything from you before, and i thought it was a little plain, but the message you were sending, was definate. same advice, if you took a little more time to edit wording, i think this could have been a really good piece, and one of the best lately. overall, it was a nice read, refreshing from all the morbid pieces floating around. keep up to both.
