Details are still sketchy as to the warrant out for the arrest of rapper Cassidy (Barry Reese). As we reported, the rapper whose hit single, "Im A Hustla" is hot on the video countdowns and radio playlists was being sought by Philadelphia police, according to published reports.

The warrant was out for Cassidy who, with two counterparts, allegedly shot their guns into a parked car where a 22-year-old man was shot and later died.

J Records reps would not respond to the widely reported stories of the investigation when contacted by BET.com. The company officially issued a statement to BET.com that simply said "no comment."

Philadelphia police have not issued a statement either and apparently weren't aware that Reese was in fact a celebrity.

There is no word on whether Cassidy had or was still expected to turn himself in to Philadelphia police on Friday as was previously reported.

Oh shit thats deep.Sadly shit like that happens a lot of the time, but with cassidy being in the public eye he shoulda thought about what he was doin before he did somethin on such a crazy level.
