Biggie's Lawsuit Rolls Along
 

Jury selection began yesterday in a civil case in the estate of the late Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace versus the City of Los Angeles. Mother Voletta Wallace and Faith Evans, the widow of the rapper, were on hand at the courthouse.

According to court papers, the estate feels that Marion “Suge” Knight of Death Row Records was responsible for the 1997 murder and that the LAPD helped suppress the investigation and even cover up information. In the past, Knight and the police dept have denounced the allegations.

Kevin Hackie, a securtity guard for Death Row, once said that there was a $25,000 bounty sent to LAPD to kill Biggie. He has since stated that he suffers from amnesia and cannot recall any of those details.
