Mount Carmel Battle feat. The Messenger
 

Setting the scene: King Ahab and Queen Jezebel have turned everyone against the LORD God to follow the idle Baal. So Elijah, the last prophet of God at that time, made a challenge to see who's god was actually God. Heading to Mount Carmel is Elijah, the prophet of God, and the 450 prophets of Baal........


[The Messenger]
Take a challenge with God, so that we may see who is worshiping the real fraud,
today well see who created humanity, so this is how it goes get two bulls, cut them
into pieces about the size of reeses pieces and put wood on top of it, but don't light
fire to it, I will prepare the other bull and not light fire to it, call on the name of your God
and if he's as true as you say your alter will light on fire today, so lets get this show started

What’s this fool thinking challengin our god to a fight
Everyone who believed in his God fled out of sight
We build our alter up and begin to cry out to Baal
Send fire to light the offering, lightning or fiery hail
Continue to cry, but with no sign from our god above
What’s the deal, can’t he find compassion for us or love
Well apparently we’re not pleasing him, lets try something else
Cryin louder, screamin at the top of our lungs, even cutting ourselves
Bleedin all over the place, blood is what he likes and wants
But nothing is happenin, Elijah sittin to the side and taunts
Spendin the whole day, carrying on with every ritual we know
Wantin to prove ourselves right, and we need to make Elijah go
But still nothing happens, what are we doing wrong
Is it true that our god my not, after all, be that strong
Finally we give up, tired, cut up, and exhausted
Thinkin about our pitiful sacrifice and what it had costed

I watch these people scream out of the lungs, so retarded, from morning to
noon these people were screaming like buffoons, scream louder I said maybe your
God is not home, maybe he just wants to be left alone, maybe he is on vacation on a
long trip, maybe he's taking his midday nape maybe he's on the toilet taking a crap,
they started to cut themselves it was madness just plain out sadness, there was no
answer to there request, no response, no one answered, no one even paid attention,
so I called onto the people to come near, I took twelve stones that are strong engough
to break bones, with the stones I built an altar in the name of the Lord, I made a
trench filled it with water now let's commence, I prayed to God O lord let it be known
today that your are God and put to rest Baal the fraud, let it be known let your love
be shown, Lord sent out fire burned up the sacrifice even the wood not to meation
stones it also dried up the water in the trench, people stood at ahhh thinking to them
selfs saying what the Baal, they fell prostrate and cried, "The LORD -he is God!
The LORD -he is God!" God is God today and forever
