In a rapper?

I tend to like someone who's really raw on the mic, with a lots of wit and a good voice. I really hate anyone who makes half their album for females to sell more but I reallllllly hate people who try to be so underground that they end up talking about the moons molecular passages through substances conceived on ultramagnetic planets. The things that make me sit there like "Daaaaaamn" is when the flow is monstruous or the line is sooooo fuckin witty like "And I aint in the mile high club so I don't give a flying fuck" Might be from my textcee days though =/

Anyways, what do you look for?

Firstly....someone has to a dope rhyme shceme.I absolutely hate that Tupac/50 one syllable shit.

Then it's about delivery.If ya making a violent song...bring intensity and roar in your voice.If making a soft,love song...have a eminem/mockingbird type a delivery.

It doesn't matter wat topics the person raps about.As long as it's good.Even if the person is not a killer and is pussy...if he wanna rap about violence...then let him.I hate when someone raps about street and shit...but then people say "OOOH...but he isn't real!!!".
We don't know them...so let's not judge whether or not they are real or fake.I belive someone can rap about anything they feel like.

I look for flow, good voice, wordplay in a rapper. A rapper that can bust a bar & you go "Whoa :cool:". & if they can express a story good enough, I'll bump them.

I look for originality, because it is so scarce now a'days. You always find artist trying to be like a previous artists, and its bullshit... But every once in a while you will find someone different. And those are the people who make the alrgest influence on me. The people who risk being "themselves" and make money, rather than falling under all the other shit... Thats how I look at it.
