Ever think bout getting a site? You see the names on RV, but if you think about it, if you had your own site bout you on a domain and all that, people would be more interested in you. Not to mention it's like, ultimate promotion. You show up in Google, Yahoo, AskJeeves, all that good stuff. Domains cost $10 a year to get, and hosting is at least $60-$70 if you plan to upload music.

Well, my friend is doing this for $30-$50. You get a free domain, which means you can make it www.YourRapName.com No .hosting.com or anything like that. You manage your site, and who knows, if you buy forums like RV you can run your own site.

I'm going to do this, and he is only doing this so cheap for a little bit. $50 for a year of promotion, cheaper then anything else you can do. Myspace and SC are fine, but you have so much competition and everything with others promoting their SC's and myspaces, wouldn't it just be easier to give a simple link to someone, and they visit it? Sides, if you get sponsors you can make some money! :thumbup:

werd.. been planning on doing that.. just waiting till i get my card ;) lol.. but yea it would be tite to have one.. but so much hard work.. promoting on myspace n SC is hard enough.. now promoting with your own site is eve harder... ill take atleast a year or two to get known if u want ur rap forum active.. n if u wanna get ur shyt heard like music.. damn.. u gotta hire someone to promote for u..cuz its so much hard work.. but i already do that ;)

I'm registering a domain name for me n omb's group once our cd's are pressed n shit..

But these days I woukldnt even bother trying to host a battle forum.. There are new battle forums that go up every 5 minutes and all of them think their gonna be the next big thing.

Not really, your promoting is done for you by search engines and that kinda stuff. I was just saying you could host your forums if you wanted to.

You realize you have to have hosting for the site to run right?

Just askin, chill. Lotta people don't know, they think that having a domain means that you can have a site. Also, you didn't mention hosting, so maybe next time you need to say "I am getting a domain and hosting" without flying off the handle. Damn
