Jay-z "Topps" Deal
 

Topps recently announced that it inked a deal with Sean "Jay-Z" Carter to be featured in its basketball trading card merchandise.

Under the agreement, Topps now holds exclusive rights to the use of Jay's image on packaging and advertising on the trading cards; including insert cards, autographed cards and memorabilia cards. Part owner of the New Jersey Nets, the God emcee is scheduled to make his trading card debut in Topps Basketball's 2005-2006 releases. Jay will be featured as a Rookie Card, a Relic Card and an Autograph Card. The 2005-2006 Topps Basketball releases begin in late August. Jiggaman will also appear with Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson on the releases' box.

Jay leads a list of celebrities like actresses Carmen Electra and Shannon Elizabeth, and model Christine Brinkley, who all have a Topps 2005-2006 rookie card.
