Da vinci code ur opinions?

So i just finished reading it yeah and baring in mind im an athiest i put myself in the shoes for a catholic and started thinking about the hole situation as after all . despite the scenarios being fake all the facts stated are real so i started thinking

1. The holy grail = why so many people believe its a chalice yet so many know its the body of 'jesus's wife'. Also why the church want it never to be revealed yet people pass the message throughout songs and paintings and have been doing so for years
2. At the end where it states the grail is in the louvre. Has anybody checked???
3. Because it has never been revealed how do we know the priory didnt make this up inspite of catholism
4. Hmm what else o yeah, if its been shown jesus has a wife and therfore is mortal how would this immedietly destroy the beliefs of catholics? would this instantly mean theres no god? i dont understand since i myself dont follow christianity what is the revelance of jesus being immortal or mortal to the destruction of a relgion passed on for centuries

ur views??

Wait jesus had a wife? I'm not an athiest I just don't have a religion. I believe in god, but any catholic/christian/religious talk I usually spff at.

I read a lot, it really does get ya thinking, and it explains a lotta stuff, i know its a conspiracy but it does fit in, and imo proves religion as bullshit.

the da vinci code isn't full of facts... only part of Dan Brown's 'facts' are actually real. i've read it, and it's a great book. and it does open your mind up to new views on the catholic religion. you should check out his other's also.

Tonedeff 08-18-05 06:17 PM

It's based on facts that are fiction.

A cred I am with you on that - I have looked and studied many religions and have found that they are rooting from the same school of thought. Just adapted to suit the people who follow it. I always say that there is most definately an ultimate being - the creator but as human beings we can never comprehend or even voice our opinions on who, what and why we are here and which faith to beleive in. That is why my body is my temple and I treat people how I expect to be treated nothing more nothing less. Sorry everyone for going off there.

the facts in the book arent true. that is the biggest myth out there today about this book, so many ppl think this is true. in fact none of it is true at all. i caught a show on the history channel about it, a guy went around to all the places the book talked about and he even spoke to the author who had makde it all up. its a myth.

Well, there is evidence that there was a Jesus Christ alive during the time the Savior was supposedly on the Earth. I say, supposedly, to keep the view open cuz I believe it was him, but ya know.

Now, there is also evidence that he was indeed a preacher, and that he traveled teaching and preaching to people. There is also evidence he died at a relatively young age. Around 30-35 I believe people say.

Now, the miracles and things are up to you to believe. There is no record for it, and there is no solid proof that they happened. I mean, they're miracles, who would believe them anyway?

Someone email me the Da Vinci Code or something.
