well...im was talkin to dis cat I met on a party line/chat service and considered having a blind date.

The problem was that he kept sayin' "trust me, I'm cool peeps." Then, he goes off into a tirade of what he doesn't like, always ending with "but, I'm cool peeps." My gut said this cat would not be fun to chill with and would possibly attach in a negative way. So, I emailed him and said that I wanted to chill and was no longer interested at the moment. I thought that would shake him, but I was wrong. Instead, he replied with even more determination to meet n shit, saying "Oh, I'm cool peeps so call me at xxx xxx xxxx." I'm thinking, "hmm, this cat might be coo to at least meet." But, my gut says he's a bit attached when it even isn't warranted.

I say if he keeps havin to tell you how "coo" he is... He's probably not coo at all, he's probably annoying...

By what you said...this kid keeps trying to validate himself with "but i'm coo peeps"..so he seems self conscious, trying to prove something, just seemes like he has issues under the surface, iunno, i wouldn't pursue that. Just an opinion though, follow your instinct.
