is delicate. They try to rip us apart.
They try to hold us back, try to abuse our heart.
But we rise above the ignorance, with focused minds.
Hip hop defeats the hate, time after time.

Hip Hop...

is universal. With elements combined.
We breakdance, we DJ, our love is intertwined.
With a Krylon spray in one hand, and in the other a mic.
Hip hop has no boundary, an expression of life.

Hip Hop...

is my culture. A unity of the soul.
It's my poetry, my escape from this world.
It's my day, my night, my release of strife.
My love, my passion, Hip Hop is life.
