Where's All The Bill Gates Wanna Be's At?
I got a problem with my computer. I want to re-boot the whole thing. Now do I have to have a certain disk that is for that particular computer? Or can I do that by just installing a new Windows program?
|
Just take your computer to Best Buy or something.
|
u wanna re-image
its like starting the computer over straight out the box.... |
you mean you want to reset the computer back to its factory settings
if that is the case then you should have a disk that came with the computer when it was bought, if not then you will have to replace the hard drive or before that you could try formatting your hard drive and see if that works for you |
Mimesis > can they check it for free? or will i have to pay for that?
with the XBOX? what? |
i really dont know anything about computers. so what is formatting the hard drive.
do any of you have AIM so i dont have to wait 30 seconds to respond |
You'd have to pay for it.
Either that or ask this question to a forum board for computer nerds. You'll end fucking up your computer listening to most of these people's advice. |
okay, call whoever u have a warranty with/ your computer's company customer service line.... and tell em u wanna re-image
they'll give u easy steps most likely, but re-imaging is what u wanna do |
formatting ure hard drive is simple
i dont know if it is the same on all computers, but on mine you just find ure Local Disk:C// drive in Windows Explorer and right-click on it and choose the 'Format' option |
but first off, why do you wanna reboot ure comp.......
|
some programs wont work. and when i try to uninstall them they just sit there.
oh yeah and i got this from my uncle so i aint got the disk it came with and he aint got it either |
To delete everything you had and start from scratch all you need is the windows cd on most computers, want me to explain the steps?
|
so if i get a windows program then i can re-do the whole computer? yeah you got AIM so you can explain this thing to me
