I educate people on their bodies...how to better them...I'm not a personal trainer per se...but I manage a sports and learning complex...

the facts are these: a higher percentage of black people suffer from certain chronic illnesses, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease...a higher percentage of black people suffer and die from HIV...most studies show a divide in the quality of health care minorities (blacks and hispanics) receive compared to their white counter parts...Now, suffering is suffering...But, my point is for black people and minorities to educate themselves on it...

I'm BLACK...and I wrote this for my people to hear...It's sad...I see poverty everyday...I work with it...I work around it...I work in it...I deal with people who live in it...iz part of what I do...So, I'm speaking from experience here...

so all this " WE ARE THE WORLD" shit is fine...but while ur being idealistic, people are dying...I'm saying it's time to start being REALISTIC and make some changes

P.S. of course we're all "human"...but, if blacks and minorities suffer higher percentages, how can u possibly deal with "all humans" the same?

U can't...u have to address the problem as it exists...and there is a huge problem...I work in S.E. D.C. in Washington...

so...yes...white people have HIV as well...but 30 % of the black men in DC have HIV

i dont look into statistics, i live every day as it comes... now your acting like i dont know about poverty... ive been to the gambia, ive stayed there, ive seen how they live, thats REAL poverty, what gives us a full meal, is enough to feed the whole family for a week there.

more black people die from AID's(you cant die from HIV, as HIV evolves into AID's and its AID's that actually does the damage) than whites do, yes... and the majority of those black people live in depirived countries.

countries like the gambia where there own government rips them off, you will see that the gambia is a fucking shit hole(not meant in dis-respect) but it looks a mess, but u still see people in the government driving round in brand new modern mercs n shit... they dont put the money into the country, they keep it for themselves, its reasons like that, thats why more blacks die than whites, or minorities.

if you look up statistics, you will actually find that more white people are trying to help and do something about these kind of problems, where as barely any of these minority groups are attempting to help there own race.. they basically act "well we are fine, so fuck helping them"

but at the end of the day... this thread will do nothing for people, its just gonna be another pointless discussion that leads to nowhere, just like the other 50 million threads ive seen like this

the fact remains that HIV in this country is spreading at a disproportionate rate among minorities..SO we as minorities need to address this for ourselves...

So leady...realize the messager here is one of change...Im talkin to minorities her specifically...and nothing is wrong with that...certain things affect women, and they have their own issues...certain things affects Elders, they have their issues

These issues hit HOME with minorities...So let's not turn a blind eye to it

#1...I wrote this essay because the health and condition of minorities is a passion of mine.

#2...I do something about it...I educate people, minorities specifically, on health issues and the importance of exercise.


#3...I manage a sports and learning complex. So, health and fitness are what I do all day long.


#4...This essay was written for a very specific demograph (young minorities/blacks). Therefore, I was liberal with the rhetoric. I apologize if that offended your sensibilities.


#5...I forgot that I was on a board full of kids who'd rather talk about whose TITS are bigger than why 30 % of black men in DC are dying from HIV. And yes, they are DYING.
