Have ya'll ever heard Go-GO music...
yea...it's Native here to Washington, D.C...especially in the underground scene...
peeps from DC, MD, VA would know what I'm talkin about it's a mix of reggae and hip hop the drums always have a similar sound but the tempo can change... there's also usally a front man who "sings" or speaks lyrics...the front man just goes wild...sometimes Go Go artists "cover" famous hip hop songs and convert them to Go Go style...shit, they even "covered" an Ashlee Simpson song http://www.soundclick.com/artist/7/qakaprox.htm CLick on "Junk Yard Band Loose Booty" ^^THat's a famous group from here...made the song "Sardine and Pork n Beans" Shit's big here in D.C. |
