New Jack City 2???
 

With the New Jack City: Special Edition DVD flying off shelves, a buzz is currently building about a sequel starring Wesley Snipes and Ice-T.

Negotiations for a New Jack sequel have yet to begin, but word is Snipes, who played drug lord Nino Brown in the movie, said he would be willing to reprise his role.

Meanwhile, Ice-T revealed to MTV that a sequel was supposed to be filmed shortly after the release of the first movie back in 1991. According to Ice, Nino Brown survived getting shot in the chest at the end of the movie. The follow-up flick was to start with the drug lord in intensive care.

Apparently, the movie was never made partly due to the controversy surrounding Ice-T at the time. Ice says that Warner Bros. opted to can the sequel when he attracted negative attention with his inflammatory record, "Cop Killer." Apparently he intends on breaking the bank if he does accept to star in the sequel.

Over ten years after it's theatrical release, the original New Jack City was released as a two-disc special DVD this past August. The film also starred Chris Rock, Judd Nelson and New Jack's director Mario Van Peebles. The movie's original soundtrack featured cuts by Ice-T, Queen Latifah and 2 Live Crew, among others.

New jack city's messege was dope. I love the plot and how they showed both sides. Like how wesly snipes was like "What you got to help us? Another I have a dream speech?" I was like "whoa..". Its a ill movie, ya'll gotta check it out for real.

yeah and i think they shuld make a paid in full 2 when rico comes back to harlem...that would be tight....

Well the way paid in full ended it was like a new generation of hustlas was out and they were complete idiots. Like the rappers and shit. And dude moved on. So for him to come back'll be sad really.

but rico did say that when he comes back he'll be the king of harlem....see....Paid in Full 2: The Rise Of Rico....lol....

New Jack City is one of my fav movies ever made...
I'll def go see a number 2 if it comes out......
