i never go so i have no idea how to do this lol
solve each system by substitution
v= u - 5
v= 3u + 7
umm anyone know liek the steps to solving these types of problems lol :huh:

Fuck if I know, I forgot math, thats why I joined the military :p

However i'll give it a try :)

v= u - 5
+5 +5
v +5 = u +5
u = 0

I *think* (or the lack of thinking)

I do know what ever you do to one side you have to do to the other aswell

Ok heres how you do them both:

4. Place this new "x" value into either of the ORIGINAL equations in order to solve for "y". Pick the easier one to work with!

y = 9 - 2(2)
y = 9 - 4
y = 5

5. Check: substitute x = 2 and y = 5 into BOTH ORIGINAL equations. If these answers are correct, BOTH equations will be TRUE!

3y - 2x = 11
3(5) - 2(2) = 11
15 - 4 = 11
11 = 11 (check!)

y + 2x = 9
5 + 2(2) = 9
5 + 4 = 9
9 = 9 (check!)

Lets solve.

x = y -5

Substituation means you substitute side for side... So, if you want to solve for X (v) you need to add 5 to the right side to counter the negative 5.

'x = y -5
'+5 +5'

x +5 = y

y = 0

or U = 0
