RapVerse Audio Billboards?
 

well i was thinking of a way to increase the creativity in the Audio Division.

And i came up with this.

In the songs forum their should be a sub-forum labelled "The Billboard " Or "RapVerse Billboards"

and the charts will have the top 10 songs on it. Users have a week to vote for their favourite song in the "Songs Forum" and the top 10 songs "songs with most votes 1" "songs with the 10th most votes in spot 10" and then week by week the billboard charts is updated. it doesn't matter who has more friends or whatever. It's basically who's the most popular and who everybody's bumpin or feelin'...its the same as the real charts. the katz at the top are popular and have alot of groupies...so what...that will encourage you to make a better song...Everybody knows when they hear a good song

And you said the song with the least votes gets the 10th spots...the song with the 9th most gets the 9th spot...so on and so forth

If the activity level is low now, do you think it'll pick up for the sake of voting?...SHouldn't the focus be on giving feedback so people can elevate?


So...basically, you want to create a "running" award for the most popular emcee at the moment?

Well...it's an interesting idea, IMO. However, I think the focus of the songs forum should be feedback and elevation. I know being popular isn't the focus of elevation. So, why even create more division like that?

top 10 songs based on the best songs. The audio forum is getting active. and regardless we'll get all these people to vote.....but yeah its good exposure....elevation....and shit..its something to do

based on "best" songs?...and just who determines which songs are the best?


nah son...I can see this becoming nothing but a coronation for "popular" cats and people who people "like"...the fact of the matter is, featuring songs is a good idea...but recreating a billboard chart to show who is more "liked" sounds middle schoolish to me...

<------never popular enough to be voted anything...and that isn't saying anything bad about me...Being popular doesn't make a person good or better than anyone else. So, as an audio head, what's the point of the chart, so I can aspire to be more "popular"? What about music man?

how do you think real life does it. everybody votes for their best song. everybody has their own opinion so its basically which kinda shit they feelin..its not neccessarily..whos more liked..but blah what ever's good

I think its a good idea...but therell not be enuf votes for a top ten, because people like the same thing most of the time

well...Most of the bill board charts are based on Sales...

but Billboard isn't a rap site with the purpose of helpin people elevate...those are established artists


The Songs forum is for us to drop tracks and elevate...and Featuring Audios like it's done now is just a little cherry on top as an incentive...And that's actually why I'm against voting for that...The Mod should just pick a song that he notices gets positive feed, shows originality/creativity...etc...but that actually requires work...


neway...I just think a Billboard chart for RV is the wrong idea...sorta like a soundclick chart...who really cares

P.S. exactly how are tracks entered in this chart again...So lets say I post a song and it's hot...how does it get included?

a pool of good songs that were dropped on this site. and they vote for which one they is feelin

I ain't tryna be negative...but RV has simply made me jaded toward anything that could be remotely a good idea with any semblance of partiality

a top 3 or 5 would work I think, however the blobb makes good points

I like the idea...

But...it could create some issues. Beef, for one. And also what Tha Q said...whoever the most people like will get it.

The list every week would be:

Apexx
Ike
Blah blah so on so forth...

The fact is, theres barely any feedback left on any of the lesser skilled members, or not as well known audio heads now.

Shit would be fucked.
