Stolen Soul


Another day with another burden left for me to carry
Another life I need to take, another soul I gotta bury
Another day with another scar left for me to conceal
Another mystery I'd reveal, another soul I gotta steal

I often wonder why I have been assigned this task
As I see loved ones cry behind my covering mask
My tears escape my eyes, my heart is torn apart
My life's filled with lies as I cause others to depart
Though this I did not choose, I wanna escape it all
What do I have to lose, even if I crash into a wall?
Nothing…that is my life: an empty hole, no being
Nothing but stress and strife is what I am seeing
So why am I put here? To merely end other lives?
To cause chaos…leave husbands without wives?
What could I’ve done wrong to deserve all this?
When all I really want is one simple hug or kiss
But I am the bad guy yet no one ever asks why
I’m not soaring high yet on the floor I lay to cry
So I will die, alone and in pain, no one with me
Bleeding in the pouring rain, it’s my soul I see
Floating away in a cold air, further out of reach
On last day of a horrible life, I no longer preach
