Yes, there is a difference. Nobody is "running" up to you. That comparison would have worked if people were constantly IMing you on like, AIM or some shit, but not a forum board.. because there's this thing called "scrolling." It's where you can like, skip over the threads you don't like. Pretty good addition to the internet, I must say.
