you know when somebody is doing stuff offline you allways ask "what are you doing on the net then" like ppl dont have spare time n shit.
so what about people like immortal technique, swann, atmosphere, canibus, juelz santana just to name a few??? all have myspace accounts and all have posted on forums in they spare time. its just summin ive noticed. in the eyes of a true netcee "its impossible for you to perform live, and make moves offline just because you post on a forum during spare time" |
True, it's bullshit.
Internet is becoming way to spread the music, get contacts and such. On RV alone we have plenty of cats that are performing and making moves offline yet still posting online to name some (not all of course): Apexx, Triple N, Phenom and so on...just naming a few from top of my head... |

but have you noticed, all my time online is during the day, when there is literally nothing to do, but im very rarely on during the night time which is when the UK scene does its work.
ya see the UK scene is a case of,work by day, rhyme by night... but also, when im on here, i also write alot tracks... so unlike most people here who come on and just browse and post, i brose n post and write. and people like swann, atmosphere e.t.c dont have teams, they arent big enough for that. but also you got names from the UK like lowkey, conflix, chemo, manage, just to name a few, all making a BIG impact, n they again have myspace and post on forums during they spare time, i talk to manage everyday on msn, he spends more time than i do online, yet he still does his thing. so my point still stands. |

why do people act like sumbody who uses the net is un-able to perform, make moves whatever just because they use the net??? again, canibus uses the net, as does the game, swann is one of the best battlers there is PERIOD, he still uses the net... i could list loads of people who use the net and make moves, shit even jin does. its just something ive noticed on forums, not just here but on other forums too, and so many people have had stuff said to them like "you dont do shit, your still using forums so u aint doin shit offline stfu" kinda bollocks, i just think its stupid |

iono why people are under the impression that if you're online freQuently you can't possibly actually be doing shit offline as well... someone I know from online got signed to Terror SQuad about a month aGo...he was never online as much as everyone else, but he has a job and shit anyway, and while he was still on the 'net he'd had a few collabs with major label artists... people have that perception that either you aren't doing shit or if you say you are, you're lying...iono why, I think it IS jealousy, but to me instead of being jealous you should ask them questions on how they used the 'net to their advantaGe and how they got in contact with the people they're making those moves with... I'm on a start up label down here in houston that I myself had never heard of, my gurl from Kansas City, Misourri told me about dude, gave me his BP paGe so I e-mailed him and he sent me his phone number, I auditioned for him over the phone and a few other people on with him and I was in... just because you may nto be releasing shit on a major scale doesn't mean that you're doing nothing...people just need to quit hatin' while those making moves are here cuz I can almost guaruntee they'll be the same ones tryina say they knew you back when you were on this or that board with 'em... P.S. it's not always other people that respond or are on boards on "behalf" of whoever the artist is...Juelz isn't THAT big that he couldn't possibly be answering that stuff himself and eevn some big named celebs (like Mariah Carey) make it a opint to PERSONALLY respond to fans on their official websites...so I wouldn't say that they have other people responding for 'em... and Kryo, that's eXactly what he's talkin' about ROFL... |
