The One I Fear

Dark hooded shadows slither across dark tapestries of brimstone and flames.
Sharp claws scratch through stone pieces, fall in pentagrams as demons whisper my name.
Veins run cold with iced watery rivers of glaciers broken in plasma streams
Blankets of midnight encase my sight; nets of darkness trap my screams.
Moonlights beams reflect shattering light off the curved sickles blade.
As it rises, slicing air like the finest knife then disappears in shade.
My frame shiver, but not the cold, I see my name etched in stone.
And all warmth leaves my spirit as the darkness seeps in my bones.
Extinguished candle flames leave wisps of smoke I inhale my breathing broken.
My eyes held by immeasurable weight trying to force them open.
But no matter how hard I try I fail to prevail my victory spoils.
The presence enters my environment I smell dried blood in the old soil.
Death smiles his teeth a millions blades a millions swords of a million knights.
Bloody with the innocent and evil their existence mixed into a normal life.
His breath a gray cloud that thickens and becomes the darkest of smoke.
As I stare into his bottomless eyes which beckon a absence of hope.
But my faith is my hope and faith in hope is all I have so I keep the faith.
Yet dark hands open my chest to expose my black heart encased within the shaded space.
The beats rate like the race of stampeding horses thundering hooves cracking my soul’s walls.
As fire sizzles my flesh on my knees in flames I shiver in cold halls.
The reaper stalls…robes billow in stark clouds knocking light to its knees in smashing blows.
Palaces crumble crystal ceiling fall…clear diamonds crash through thrones.
I stand amidst pictures of royal clones lines to replace the demise of the king.
Ruby red blood leaves splotches of burgundy patterns across angelic wings.
Stare at rings the stones polluted with the lives of slaves who died for stones.
Cuz’ whether shiny or colored they are still stones so pretty rocks are truly all I own.
Sins stack upon bones spines crumble under pressure.
But the weight of the world is more then the universe measures.
Simple pleasures soft leathers across backs the devils scams.
100 men died for my chain..and that’s my claim to fame as a better man?!!
The rain falls through the dark halls as my spirit is dragged.
Across the corpses who died from drugs and young thugs in gang affiliated flags.
I grab bodies like smoke in exhaust pipes seeing the cost of life.
As young men hold there crosses tight my body’s pulled to darkness forced from the light.
Apologies fall in deaf ears as I near the corpse.
I see my face, realizing my own fate.
And death tells me..........................all is lost.
But that cost is more then remorse can settle.
Cuz” not diamonds, not gold but souls are the cost of the devil.
And life could’ve been better so I clutched metal and cursed god in all his names.
And amidst flames my brain remains sane as I rest my neck across angel’s blades.
My blood trickles like water down ice cycles in warm winters.
Pens drop lightening in prays of righteous who mourn sinners.
Screams of angry men, who have been here for ages.
Broken spines separate lines across biblical pages.
Snatched from the fire by chains of barbwire my skin peeling.
Then bright lights as me and the sheets fight under spinning ceilings.
A smell of ammonia, the owner not presently present.
As I realize my breath has not died….................
…....................I’m back in my land among peasants.
Try to stand but hands push me down to my bed.
And my thoughts swirl in my world then darkness crashes my head.
Past remembrance of late September raindrops falling like mini bombs.
The explosions have stolen my inner calm.
Inside my palm is poison amidst noises of street traffic.
When violent action broken among fractions.
Of other nations who felt the placement of a kings soldier was too close.
Then what happened was magic…..
…..Sparks of light in dark waters and blue smoke.
A new hope was boldly written across faded pages.
Amidst a trail of plans failed and sedated rages.
Shattered thoughts caught in a web of deception.
As I fight this new life against a dead reflection.
So as I melt my former self into a new mixture.
I see a wrinkled face as I start to waste in a smooth picture.
A sound of voices saying my choices weren’t in the divine plans.
But I’m just one man with no helping hands through my time span.
So I stand now as I always stood on my own.
And close my eyes as I embrace this darkness as home.
