My immediate goal is to make it in australia... It really does shit the hell out of me when americans act as though everyone from other countrys only wants to make it in the states...

It's just such a fucking pathetically conceded and self centered way of thinking..

yup.. i totally agree... i mean jus cos we from a diff country n post on a rap forum n post music n try make moves offline does not mean we are tryna go worldwide... its about doin it where u are first... thats wat i wanna do.. make it in UK... i doubt ill get any further.. but if i had the oppurtunity.. dope... aslong as i make it in the UK.. im more than happy.....but seriously... y do u americans act like we want to make in the states all the time???

Ysdat 11-05-05 10:08 PM

Im going as far as I can

The first person to climb the highest mountain in the world was from NZ, raps my mountain ;)

Indeph 11-05-05 10:09 PM

Well most americans never heard of UK artists, but the UK basically hears about all of our stars so.. it makes sense to wanna be known here.

Professor Green is a good battler imo, he held his own at fight club this year...

Indeph 11-05-05 10:12 PM

Yeah I aint sayin UK artists aren't good. And you right, you don't have to be known here. Its similar to the underground artists who prefer not to be publically known. Just do you its no problem.

Tha Q. 11-05-05 10:13 PM

It's simple...There's more talent in the united states than anywhere else in the world...

We have the best Athletes...entertainers

Golf- greg norman fron new zealand, recently won the US open.

its the money in the US, thats why things are so big there.

A docter who got his degree in NZ and works here will earn alot less than a docter who got his degree and works in america.

Its the money not 100% all of the time the skill.

leady 11-05-05 10:22 PM

wats also funny is

americans(or alot atleast) never accept it if its from sumwere out of US... but places like UK love hip hop from all over the world.. same wit aus n other countries world wide.

as for money... fuck money.... i aint even in it for that... and i said 100 million times but ill say it again... obviously US vgot more talent... id be worried if it didnt seein as it is bigger than in size than more or less everywhere else in the world makin it way more populated, therefore givin reason to it holdin more talent ;)

ksr 11-05-05 10:26 PM

americans r definitely self-centered n conceded
but let's face it, if u make it big in the states, u make the big bucks
n thats wut most rappers, regardless of nationality, are aimin for

And I dont want people to get it twisted... Hell, I would absolutly love to make it in the states... But I would still be content to just own the fuck out of aussie hip hop too...

I agree as well.

lastnight I was talkin to triple_n and I was askin em if he knew any canadian artists and he didn't because canada don't get into the states much. All I care about is gettin known for being a dope rapper and being heard in my province I could care about the whole country but I wanna at least meet some artists in my damn city.

Indeph 11-05-05 10:55 PM

Lol @ me gaining american pride by reading this thread.

L. Veracity 11-05-05 11:09 PM

eghh I'm rarely proud to be an American, especially with potato head like BUSH running the country...abd by the way I believe it's "concieted"

and yeah, ther's a bigger market for rap here in the U.S. plus that's where pretty much all known ass rappers are from...that doesn't mean that rappers are just in it for money, but popularity of most rappers and noteriety of them, is based on what they've done in the U.S. because it's essentially Hip Hop's home...

the U.S. is the Indie500 of rap, the Kentucky Derby, the Major Leagues, the NBA

all those stupid and or played out ass analogies and comparisons
