Tips For Starting a Record Label
 

i am thinking about starting one and i was wondering if anybody had any tips or experiences they would like to share

yea.....get famous then sign me

i am in the process of staring one...........if you aren't 101% serious then don't bother cos you won't be motivated enough to get things done......

.........sort out the business side of it before you touch the actual music side of it if you know what i mean...............

Step one: 1 Trademark label's name for 10 grand.
Step two: Apply for a tax ID umber since you're fgonna have to start claming income and losses under a K-4 form.
Step three: The end.

i'll keep that in mind

^^was jus talkin to someone today about this...I plan to hit up the Dept. of Commerce tomorrow about registering my comp.

Yeah me and my boi gonna run a record label..we problay gonan finish up a few cds get teh profits and what not so far everyone knows we'll sell 3,000 units easy and we sellin um about 10 dollas a copy so we gonna get some doe and we gonna spend it all on the label the equptment and new cd covers adn what not

Go talk to a businessman that deals with this type of shit.

i dont think you have the income to start up a record label...or the brains to run one :(
