Let me start by saying I am not a big 50 cent fan. But when are you going to realize everything he does is for publicity, to sell records. I see so many threads dissing 50, and the funny thing is if the truth be told you probably thought 50 was dope like most hip hop heads when he came out. I never was a big fan from the get go, I thought his lyrics were limited at best, with great production. Point is his movie probably is decent, because it's probably the closest thing to being real he's done in 3 years. Everything else he does is production, to sell records, whether it's beef, or just being cocky. So if you want 50 to go away it's simple stop talking about him. SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually made a thread about a 50 boycott in the hip hop talk forum a week or two ago..

Afterwich I realised, why even fucking bother.. He does what he does to make a living.. Yes its having adverse effects on the rap game.. But to be honest.. The rap game in america has been compleatly fucked for a long time now..

And I live in a different country.. So I could honestly care less.. HAHA

Anyway i think 50 gets more hate on this site than anyone else so hes doing enough things right cos even the peeps that hate him always got his name on thier lips

50's Lyrical Content is about as good as Talib Kweli's record sales in 1998. Now that he's commercial, I highly doubt he could "rock" me, unless it was to sleep.

^ but see the thing is 50 started rappin because it was his outlet and his way out... not to amaze everybody with his lyrics, but just to express himself and talk about what he knew... u cant hate on that. It aint like he's claiming to be more lyrical than Talib or anything.

You're right, I can't hate on that. But the fact is, he used to be good at it, now he's about as Boottee as Benzino's only known single.

Yeah, and I agree... I used to love 50 when the Get Rich or Die Tryin' album came out, then I went through the RV trendy phase of hating on him like everybody else and even recorded some shit against him for what I realize now is for no reason, I got nothin against him... and now I'm startin to feel him again. The soundtrack for the movie is the hottest shit he's done since the GRODT album.
