Well, as long as it's consentual between all parties involved. Other times they'll just use a body double.

Why do you think so many male female counterparts end up together in real life..... you could go movie to movie and name co-stars who dated because they did a movie toghether.

And what's funny is that while relationships between cast members have helped with the success of some movies (i.e. Sahara, Mr and Mrs. Smith), it can also ruin some as well (i.e. Gigli).

And yes, it can be pretty awkward at times to get intimate with someone you only know casually in front of technical crews, the director, not to mention a live audience.

Thanks to the wonders of digital cable, my friends were able to keep replaying a scene in some soft-core porn they found on HBO, in which you could actually see the guy's flacid junk just lying there on the table.
