K...Q's RAP RESOLUTION put as vividly as I can muster...
It's been a great year. There were many ups and some downs. And, I've come a looooooooooooong way musically from December 31, 2004. Here's what I want to accomplish in rap from this point on, musically speaking.
I feel that I'm at about 60% of my rapping abilities right now. My delivery is only acceptable at best. And, my lyrics, though good most of the time, could be more poignant. Therefore, my goal in rap for this year and beyond is to be more EFFICIENT with rhyming--i.e., saying MORE with fewer words. Also, I want EVERY word to be like a fine morsel of meat. Imagine this. You're sitting in front of a nice juicy steak with some A-1 sauce and cut a piece. Then, you gently place the meat on the tip of your tongue and chew. As you roll your eyes back in ecstasy, you can only imagine how great the next bite will be. That's how I want my rhyming to be. I want it to be that STEAK you enjoy, delectable at best.
I will not rest in 2006 until I reach 80% or more of my rapping ability. I will focus on what I'm weak at and turn it into a strength, as I've done with many facets of my rapping now considered "strong".
Simply put, 2006 will be the best year EVER!
