I gotta live it up today, cause tomoro could be my last. You talkin perserverance, not a part of my past. The world as we know it, is wasted searchin for signs. I can feel the fading of hopes that I hold in my mind. Verse(1): Workin this 5 to 9 grave shift, is no longer do-able. Its cruisal i calm down 'for i break the fuck out this cubicle. I feel like a juvinal & they wanna call this box an office. & Im still yet to receive the raise my boss had promised. This is not usual, my problem aint even pharmacudical. Its like that somber you feel, while attendin a funeral. See the blurr in my cudicle, well symbolizes my salary. Im close to quiting but even closer to assaullt & battery. Well actually, the hand stands at the 8 on the clock. Means an hour 'til im homebound, thank God for the block. Yea thank God for the block, for the fiends & cracker jacks. & I gotta love the hood for puttin 23's on my cadillac. Relaxed on my porch, watchin shorties pass in high heels. Witta blunt, I forget about work...cause the high heals. & the time kills, I climb into bed & count all of my sins. My eyes open at 15 to 5 & i do it all over again. & im dreamin about the weekend. Hook:(x2) Verse(2) Drakel: they way that we look at it, i just wanna forget it sure not everyone has a cell phone, but its a larger percentage i'd rather have 3 meals a day, n'feeling replenished than spending the money on clothes, and later regretin it thats just the way i think, i'm all about livin' most of the shots i take, i aim to be missin' cause too many have died already, nobody's thinkin' i'd rather be up early, than not have any birds singin' to take a walk in the morning, enjoying the scenery not looking around because sirens are screaming see, i want a world of peace, if that even exists its okay to wage a war, but not use your fists? because a gun settles everything, the whole country claps its makes for a compelling story, but what about the other half? with what their teaching today, i'm suprized i've survived but that's what makes me so glad to be alive |
