I Been Thinking OAbout Getting Baptized For A Hot Minute Im Just Kind Of Scared A Little Cause I Don't Wanna Give Up All Mih Ways Like The Shit That I Do But Then Again I Wanna Go To Heaven I Know Eventually Imma Give Up On All The Thigns That I Do But Right Now Im Just Not Feelin Givin Up All The Things I Do Like Gettin Buns Before Im Married And Other Good Shit Like That On Some Real Im Confused On What To Do....

Thats awesome man... i think you need to think about why you're doin this and realize that the motives need to be more than just to get into heaven... thats not what you should be focused on... you need to think about Jesus (as dumb as that may sound) and the motives that are behind you doin this... but either way, i mean definitely get baptized... but you need to actually accept God into your life, not just get baptized in order to get into heaven... u feel me?

Nah yo... when you realized what you've just done accepting God into your life, you'll realize you arent losing anything.

My idea of a higher-being does not co-exist with the idea of a god that is judgmental enough to cast its creations into hell just because they believe in some other religion they are raised in. I say 'God Bless You', pray, but there are times when I ask for the smallest of things like having my clock display a time that it currently isn't without me touching it.

If someone as small and as menial as that cannot be done to insure my eternal faith, then I feel that 1.) god truly does work in mysterious ways and people'll just say he's 'testing you', 2.) he's too busy fighting Satan or something to divert any other energy, or 3.) he's not there. But think...is it all that hard to think that since there has been no beginning, that we currently exist? At least one time in the never-ending and never-beginning eternity, there can be a recycling of massive universes that will eventually be at the specific point necessary to support life. I find God a thing for people with bad lives to think that their horrible life will eventually come to an end and as long as they believe there will be happiness and they have hope, they can do it. It's kind of a mean prank if God does not exist, but it doesn't matter because if you just die than you can't complain about there being nothing.

Still, Jesus did exist. I just don't want to investigate in fear of losing the last of my faith in reading that christians planted evidence of him or some such...

Kind of a sad prospect to think that God won't address his fans with even an e-mail containing four numbers and a colon. :\

If you are getting baptized cuz you think it will keep you from hell, then it is pointless. You get baptized when you believe in God and Jesus and want to publicly declare your faith and devote your life to him.

:/ I really despise all these threads because it gets me on the path of debating the existence of God when the evidence is heavily outweighed. :\ Sad.

I can lighten myself up with the prospect that since time is eternal, something could've evolved to the point it can make an afterlife, or in sometime in the future they'll have the power to resurrect us.

And that dream is crashed by the equally likely chance the highly evolved creature is evil and will make me its undead, mindless slave.
