2:00 a.m.

Staring thru a pane of glass as rain floods down the other side
I wonder why, but can't concentrate with such a cluttered mind
Random thoughts scattered within my brain, when will I begin to change
It's either me or the ones around me, there's no way I can win this game
With nothing to lose, no ties to be broken
Eyes too dry to be open, don't know which side should be chosen
If all options lead to defeat later down the road or path
It's killing me, the pressure is enough to make my shoulders crack
I need a release, this pen is my only escape
Even if my words are phony and fake, they'll still wake me from my lonliest state
If God exists, could He show me my fate, perhaps a taste to provoke me to stay
If I leave, it won't be today, not til my trophy's in place
'Cause there's two reasons I want to live, to stay on this planet
One's unborn, the other I'm constantly taking for granted
I never planned it, but there isn't an ounce of regret or a doubt
I convince myself again as the last drop of vodka enters my mouth
Why can't I explain why I'm deaf, blind and dumb when I'm near her
Is it her or is it cuz I don't accept what I see when in front of the mirror
The signal is coming in clearer, I need some help if you're listening
What are the chances of a vaccine for being selfish or crippling?
I'd rather inherit the life of an alcoholic on his sixth marraige
Than be the sick parent who has nightmares of his wife having a miscarraige
I get scared when I contemplate it, but I love life so I won't misuse it
I'll stick through this, its just some new shit to get used to, I'm just human :shocked:
