Marilyn Manson
I know these threads are kinda played...
But I jus got back into his shit recently.. I used to be right into heavy metal aswell as rap back about 5 or 6 years ago.. I got most of manson's albums.. Cracked em out today.. And fucking hell this guy makes good music... I forgot just how good some of his songs actually are... Anyone else into manson? |
Manson AHAHHAHAHAH
Trent and all the incarnations of Nince Inch Nails > Marylin Manson. Matter fact lmao, Trent was clowning marylin manson in the closest thin I've ever heard to a metal battle in my life saying that manson shouldn't be so concieted seeing tht trent literally fathered his entire musical style. And he's right! On that note.. Radiohead > Coldplay too :) |
And now that I think about it Pantera > Linkin Park could even DREAM to be. Metallica (mid 80's of course) > any of the bands that emulated theirs and megadeaths styles.
Gotta go back to the source homey, lol. |
Early tupac = Rakim...
Big friggen deal bruz.. Everyone is influenced by somebody.. And anyone who says their not is a liar... New artists can bring an interesting new spin on an older style.. Its still their own music... This is the problem with dudes who are too caught up in their whos who of music.. You think it was a dope call to say "oooh but man yo yo, these guys had that style BEFORE him so naturally they are liek sooo much better and shit" when I'm in here enjoying the dudes music and I could give less than a shit about nine inch nails... Its natural for an artist to diss another artist when they feel the other one is stealing a large quantity of their fan base.. Even elvis absolutly hated the beatles and dissed them regularily... And btw....... Nine Inch nails have done tracks with manson before too... |

Who said anything about "oh man, so and so originated it, so I automatically like it more than the knock-off's version". You asked who likes Marylin. Marylin is fine, but I like NIN more. I can't think of marylin and not think of NIN. Could I listen to a manson CD again? sure. would I pick one up over a nine inch nails CD? nope. And yes, I know NIN did tracks with manson. That's hardly news. Or new. Elvis and the beatles and so on are completely irrelevant seeing that the beatles A: sound nothing like elvis and B: weren't mentored by elvis. that's not even an apples and oranges comparison, it's more apples and door knobs. But enjoy your CDs homey. |
early tupac isnt better than Rakim
thats the craziest thing I ever heard in my life |
Well thats fine man.. So you like NIN more than manson, thats personal preference.. I cant argue with that... *shrugs*
And I also wouldnt call manson's music a knock off of NIN.. But hey.. Knock yourself out.. |

Read that again.. Where did I say better.... (the = sign referenced to the fact that tupac's style was influenced by rakim) Uppity music heads... Ughh |

And?.... We don't care what you think. |
Yo dooms,
I been listening to a bit of NIN today. Not only are they heaps different to manson.. But manson is 10 times better I recon.. I would listen to manson over them any day brother.. Waaay more variety in his styles and bar a few really good lines lyrically by NIN.. Manson shits all over them... |
