It looks like that Christian in Afghanistan will be executed
 

It isn't looking so good for the Christian convert in Afghanistan. The religious clerics have admonished the United States to "stay out of" their affairs. The irony of that is, the United States helped liberate Afghanistan from Taliban rule. If this Christian convert dies, then it'll probably spark new legislation on our part or new policies within the U.N. and Amnesty groups to protect people from such atrocities. And, to show how barbaric this situation is, the Islamic clerics said, "If he is set free, we'll encourage crowds to rip his body into pieces." WOW...jus...yea...wow


This made me think about stories in the bible where certain prophets of God slaughtered prophets of "false" religions. This is interesting. What if someone today claimed that God told them to "slaughter" people in His name? I bet we'd all say they were sociopathic and insane.

In either case, people should be allowed to have a choice. It's every religion's right to attempt to convince or convert someone. But, that can't be done by force.

Yeah that's because anyone that says God tells them to kill people IS sociopathic and insane. In biblical times or now.

That already happened a few years ago. It was a guy who killed employees of abortion clinics.

In practice, it's no different because murder is murder. But, in theory it's different because it's outlined in their constitution that they have a "right" to kill Muslims who reject Islam. That's the difference.

I've always found that irony funny. They don't like killers so they KILL the killers.

huh? Where am I "surprised" in this thread? I'm relaying news that I find interesting at the moment.

Well, we could argue that all night long. But, the fact remains that many of the citizens, particularly females. now enjoy freedoms they didn't have before American intervention.

As for the death penalty, I hope you're not assuming my stance on it. I didn't mention a position on the death penalty in this thread.

lol Q.. u forget one thing, remember, its thier country, they run it their way, we are just intruding in their kind of life style.. ex.. imagine they went into our country, bombed a city you live in, where your family is, kill thousands of thousands, and maybe even ten's of thousands of U.S. citizens, and say, they only did it to help us. Than someone from the country that destroyed us sed, atleast the females will have more freedom. Wouldnt you think the females thats in U.S. hate that country that bombed us because they killed her family members?? which is worst.. loosing your whole family and watch your country be destroyed day after day, and forced to stay in ur house unless u want to get raped, or shot by enemy soldiers, or loose freedom?? you make the choice.. and basiclly, make that vice versa, and do u think its worth to have ''some'' females feel freedom, and loose thousands of innocent kids, women, and men??
