any idea why?

soundclick plays shit in a diffrent tone to when mixed? My vocal levels allwasy sound like they are clipping when played though soundclick. But there is no clipping when recording or mixing.

i just PM'ed the tech support people for you and they said that only happens if you're gay...

La Cosa Nostra 04-06-06 03:03 AM

Are you playing your music on hi fi or lo fi...

Because lo fi is complete faggotry that shouldnt even be there.......

Ysdat 04-06-06 03:18 AM

hi-fi man. i think its just my dodgie mixing. But i just had one of my bro's show me a few things.

leady 04-06-06 03:28 AM

first off, mp3 compression effects your quality slightly cos the file size needs to be smaller, but when u upload and they make it streamable it undergoes slightly more compression so ur overall sound will be slightly different.

Ysdat 04-06-06 04:08 AM

yeh, was told that about half an hour ago, which is kinda gay, cause im making tracks for distrubution here in NZ,not for the net,but to get feed on the net before i start laying my CD i need to use soundclick, but soundclick changing the sound :cussing:

leady 04-06-06 04:21 AM

thats why, you save one as an MP3 and then you sav one as a wav.... you can save a file more than once in more than one format, its not that hard kid.

Ysdat 04-06-06 04:25 AM

lol @ calling me kid, did that make you feel superiour?
Ahh, Mp3 is whats needed to upload to S/C right? yes. and it's S/C that changes the sound, not what I save it in.

leady 04-06-06 04:45 AM

ok let me rephrase that.... you said and i quote

"yeh, was told that about half an hour ago, which is kinda gay, cause im making tracks for distrubution here in NZ,not for the net,but to get feed on the net before i start laying my CD i need to use soundclick, but soundclick changing the sound"

first of all, if your making tracks for distribution, you dont upload them all, one or two yes, but not all, but thats common sense, secondly, who cares if it changes for the net???? ITS THE NET.... all that matters is that your ACTUAL PRODUCT is up to scratch, so aslong as you sav a .wav version of your file to put onto CD then what does it matter how it sounds on soundshit.com????

Ysdat 04-06-06 03:06 PM

bro you assume to much, i didnt say im uploading all, I wont even upload any that are going to be distributed. Im uploading tracks specifically done to get feed on mixing.

now,please stfu.

leady 04-06-06 03:56 PM

i assume??? concidering you never stated which tracks you uploaded and your wording implied what i was saying, go figure, not my fault you struggle to get straight to the point and beat around the bush, learn to be more direct to the point next time dummy.

Ysdat 04-06-06 04:06 PM

an assumtion comes when not all facts are presented and the person has to peice together what he/she knows and come to there own conclusion according to there mindstate.

i admit, I didnt present all the facts, but i didnt have too. The question didnt need a hundred word breakdown, i said what was needed to get the rigth answer.

So yes, you did make an assumtion, then you feel the need to call me a "dummy" yeh, ok, lets all start a childish argument over absolutly nothing.

leady 04-06-06 04:39 PM

im not tryna start an argument, but you basically tried to question my intelligence because of my assumption and now you have just admitted that it is your fault i came to that assumption, but yeh im not gonna argue, im goin on holiday in a few hours so im in too much of a gd mood lol

Ysdat 04-06-06 04:55 PM

lol @ question your intelligence. Wow, just wow.
