Question...
My friend plans on coming up from Texas during the summer to chill with me. Can a sixteen year old get a hotel room by himself? Or rent an apartment? I'm trying to figure out where he'd live, and I know he wouldn't be able to live here.

(in Canada) you can't rent a hotel without a credit card, and unless you have a co-signer - you have to be 18 to get a credit card. So ask his parents to so-sign for his ass, get himself a credit card, and you should be good to go. UNLESS US motel/banking rules are diff than ours. word.

No one gives a shit about Canada.
Umm...the answer to your question is NO...You have to be 18 to have a credit card, and most hotels require that. 1 |
You don't need an age or a credit card or none of that shit. You just need a friend who has that already to do it for you.
But if you're getting an apartment, whoever signs the lease should stay there with you, to avoid any possible fraud mishaps. |
most hotels require you to be 21 to rent a room and they WILL card your ass
trust me happened to me several times dey think u havin a party |
Shit...well, he lives with his older bro, and could give him the money that it costs for the hotel to be rented. I'll have to find a hotel that'll allow him to do so, I suppose.
Thanks. |

for one,u need a credit card in both canada and US for hotels but NOT for motels....for motels u just need ID.....and ,since he is ur friend, maybe u can just put the motel room under ur name ,if not urs one of ur friends or something, someone who's at least 18...
.....an apartment is out of the question buddy...u need job letters, bank letters that u havent bounced cheques, first n last month rent ,sometimes security deposit........................motel is ur best bet with urs or someone else's id good luck payin for a motel for an entire summer though on a 16 yr olds salary |
Haha...it's for one month, and most of the time we'll be out partying. He has nothing to buy, so he saves up, and I have nothing to buy, so I have a good deal of money. Probably get a third person to tag along, unless it's worthless.
Money isn't really an issue here, except if it's a like a five-star hotel. :D Could his guardian allow him to stay in a hotel, even if the guardian isn't present? |
...if the room is under someone else's name....noone is gonna care/ask who ur friend even is.....he will just seem like a visitor..............
