Akeelah and the Bee
 

I hadn't heard about this movie until this week. It has gotten rave reviews. It's about a young black girl from Compton who overcomes adversity to realize her dreams. I'm not normally drawn to see movies like this at the theaters, but this one might be an exception.




It comes out the 28th.
