Talk about bad idea...

So now illegal immigrants and any employer there-of, is considered a Felon. This means a lot of employers won't be hiring the estimated 11million illegal imigrants in the US.

so what do people do whne they don't have jobs to feed their families??

COMMIT CRIMES!!

crime's gonna skyrocket once the effects of this law settles in and you can already predict what people are gonna be saying.

what a bad move.

my country is run by idiots

Bad move?

Eh?

This law substancially bottlenecks all opportunitys in the united states for illegal immigrants.

When once they could come in and pose as law abiding citazens. Now their only real options is to come in and be professional criminals therefore making it a hell of a lot easier for authoritys to single them out and deport their asses.

Not to mention the US now looks a hell of a lot less attractive to possible future illegal immigrants. Now they cant get jobs.... They'll just have to go elsewhere... And the ones already in the states who turn to crime will most likly get cracked down on real hard in the comming months.

Fact remains.... Its easier to sort out professional criminals and check their papers than just suspected illegal immigrants who at face value resemble normal citazens.

................(this is why the public doesent run your country)

People have a tendancy to think on the short term.

La Cosa Nostra 04-26-06 07:15 AM

Having said that........

The only thing you said in your post that was wrong.......Was the thread title.

Critic 04-26-06 07:39 AM

Nos, your points are great for FUTURE illegal immigrants. It's not so great for the current situation.

if someone has to be a criminal and do criminal ctivity for you to find em, that means someone else has to be a victim of crime before you catch them.

That's a good idea??

not really.

That's a solution for the people who arent' affected by the crimes. Not for the people who are.

Joblessness goes up. Poverty goes up. Crime rates go up.

^^The people that run my country aren't affected by a single one of these, so they couldn't care less about those of us that have to live through it.

why do you think they pass the laws they do? Cuz it doesn't affect them.

LaTiNKiTTeN 04-26-06 02:51 PM

*agrees with nos*.....

those 11 million illegals will also free up 11 million jobs that were taken from deserving citizens of the US

so now they will either 1,turn to crime n eventually get caught n get deported
2,go home n try to come back the legal way like they should have
3,go home n dont come back
4,go to another country

LaTiNKiTTeN 04-26-06 02:54 PM

i'll also add that,in the longrun,it is also better for the illegal immigrants..cuz,right now they are doing dirty under the table jobs getting underpaid,no union, benefits, job security..etc.
maybe this will motivate them to get up n try to get a green card n do shit the legal way.......
n fuck employers who hire them just to save a buck .....u know they arent providing them with the same rights as regular employees...there are so many angles to this...u are barely scratching the surface dude

Your not wrong.. And I know where your comming from.. Your a citazen of the united states, which means this directly effects you.. So naturally you have a right to be pissed off about it.

BUT..

When your running a country, you would be severly compromising your stance towards progression if all you did was try to keep everyone happy for the short term.

Essentually.. When your running a country, your job is to take care of the greater good of your nation over the greater good of the individual.

Which is why your government keeps so many secrets from its people. Because people tend to think on the short term and neglect the bigger picture.

I'm not saying its not an asshole of a thing to happen for you guys.. I'm just saying this is not a bad move, its actually a step in the right direction.

TeamOne 04-26-06 02:58 PM

ummm Apexx..... Joblessness and Poverty will ONLY go up for the illegal immigrants, lmao, not for the actual citizens.... for the actual citizens there will be more jobs and less poverty.... y should u care if poverty and joblessness goes up for the people who shouldnt be here

...... and not ALL illegal immigrants will be caught by commiting other crimes, lol....

there were ALOTTA bad ideas in the original bill/plan...... but makin an Illegal immigrant a felon was not that bad of an idea..... now, makin the employer a FELON is alil extreme....... thats wat i dont get.... it didnt have to be that extreme to send a message

∆ P E X X 04-26-06 03:00 PM

"illegal immigrants" are doing jobs no body else wanted - that's how they got the job in the first place. Little Timmy dosen't like to do landscaping. That involves dirt and sweat, and he's way too delicate for all that shit.

he didn't lose the job, he gave it away. To someone who's way better at it, AND works way cheaper, at that. And now that someone else has it he wants it back?? Why? He's not gonna do it and if he does, he's going to suck at it and complain the whole time.

AND on top of that, we have to spend untold billions on a 700-mile wall from california to texas????
that's rediculous.

BTW, the US has just under 300 million people in it. 11 million compared to 300 million = virtually nothing. a whopping 3.6% of the population.

Anyone going back to the border will be arrested, they won't be just let right through. they're felons, remember?? That means they're gonna get thrown in Jail!

They're obviously not gonna go anywhere, they're going to stay right here.

like I said, it seems like a solution on the surface, but it's not.

^^I'm talking about crime indexes for the nation, not for a specific group. crime indexes affect everyone, it's what makes property value nosedive. It's what makes a $300,000 house worth $80,000. That affects everyone. Your state dosen't make as much money on you when your property value is low, so they're going to offset that loss by raising property taxes as always. Their solutions aren't to run more efficiently, it's to raise taxes. And that's the LEAST of it.

bro you think people are complaining about the cost of living now? you ain't seen NOTHING yet.

wait till your bread cost $9 a loaf and a 99ยข gallon of water costs $6. Then people will really grasp what just went on. Every time you look in your fridge, or every time you felt you got a lot of food for your money, think you to your self "these prices are low because a corporation saved money and passed it along to beat their competitor's price point".

They save moeny by paying someoen who wants to do the job packing the truck, unloading the goods, and packing the boxes that you don't want to do. They pay them half what you'd want to get paid and don't have to offer benefits, pension, or retirement. That = a massive savings.

it'll be a thing of the past before the end of 07 guaranteed.

The new cost of living is gonna be so high that it will eliminate the entire concept of "middle class". Everyone will either be rich or poor.
