'Birth of a Nation'
 

Anyone ever see this movie? I'm not some oversensitive minority, I really TRIED to see this from another point of view. I put myself in thier time and opened my mind. This film actually had me in shock. With the extreme ammounts of glorification of the Klan, and the biased degrading of blacks in general. Like, there was about 2 REAL black people in this film, and the rest were all played by whites in blackface. About every black person either died or was beatin. Everytime a klansman killed or beat a nigga they played this hero music, dunno how to explain the sound, but u know what I'm sayin. Now 'American History X' was similar, but that movie I actually liked. From what I've read, after this movie aired a huge ammount of black people were lynched, and nobody was arrested. Shit is crazy, I watched this movie cause everyone kept sayin it was some american classic. It's not even the racism that makes it a bad movie, it actually LIES about the civil war and the whole american situation. Just... wow
