Common. Ginuine. Rutgers. WHAT MORE CAN I SAY?!!!

The concert was arranged in two sets with Ginuwine on first and Common closing.

His whole performance is extremely well put together and even his background dancers are phenominal singers and can dance just as hell as he does. He's not a fuggasi and he didn't perform and canned music AT ALL. His squad was a color coordinated and really interactive with the crowd which really filled out the stage while he performed songs like Anxious, an all-singing Owe Me, and different renditions to every hit he's ever had! He's not scared at all to show off that he's actually a REAL singers with numerous acapella bridges all throughout his performance.



After putting the finishing touches to an acapella laiden "In Those Jeans", Ginuwine brought up a lady from the crowd to dance on stage with him for a performance that you'd have to be over 18 just to READ! G seranaded the young lady with a surprise rendition of R Kellys Bump & Grind...while she was bumping and grinding. He really knows how to play to a crowd, even throwing a towel and a sweaty tshit and what not for the ladies. Essentially the top half of what his original outfit as crowd toys lol.

The girl on stage probably left with his Gum.



He closed his set dressed in a bright red velvet James Brown cape (pictured) belting out the most powerful rendition of "My Pony" ever heard haha.


This pic was a few seconds before Ginuwine says "I love you New York!!" to the Rutgers crowd. Twice. But G..we're in New Brunswick NJ, Rutgers-fest 06 at Rutgers University. BOOOO!!!

Long story short, dude did pretty much every big song of his thta you can tink of, even took it wayy back and did I used to love her, did at least 10 songs in his set, hasd an ILL DJ (DJ Dummy) on the 1's and 2's who can scratch his ass off, live drummer, etc. then closed the set with DJ Dummy scratching on the way out, then came back and did 4-5 MORE tracks. Did a LOT of cuts of the new album, showed rutgers a LOT of love, even freestyled live on stage






Oh yeah, and you know me, I'm a audio gear junkie, but I gotta admit man the sound equpiment was straight up stellar. Sounded better live than most peoples recordings!!

props on pics...I saw common like a year ago at sum nyc club...forget which one now...an I wasn't expecting much cuz he doesn't really make music that you would think would be great performance music...but he surprised me...he came wit so much energy an really engaged the crowd....he really knows how to hold down a show...I saw him an talib kweli that night....both got tight live performances but Common really stole the show in my opinion that night....he def holds it down.

^^I could't agree more, the dude is a phenominal performer. Especially when he had mos def and talib on his cell. I mean, you know he's rehearsed this "spontinaiety" a few hundred times but it still comes together for a phenominal show.
