The irony of singing the National Anthem in Spanish
IMO, singing the National Anthem in Spanish shows disregard to patriotism, and is ironic because of that fact.
The Senate just passed legislation barring any attempt to make a Spanish National anthem official. I agree with them. When you go to Japan, you speak Japanese. English is part of who we are as a nation. I think it's disrespectful to the anthem to sing it in any language other than English. Holla 1 |

No.....we should all speak English. That is the language that our four fathers brought to this country and used to communicate with, so that is what we should speak. In this world it is survival of the fittest. Countries get conquered and end up changing to the conquering country's ways. Look at Quebec and Louisiana. They were both occupied by France and still speak it to this day. People in Quebec get pissed off if you don't speak french......it's the same shit :thumbup:™
